Join the Chicago Jewish Alliance for a special edition of The Jewish Bookshelf, featuring a live virtual discussion with author Shai Davidai about his new book, American Intellectual Antisemitism: The Anti-Jewish Movement Tearing Through Our Universities. Shai Davidai will join us for a conversation exploring his book, personal experiences, and the rise of antisemitism on college campuses, followed by a live audience Q&A.
About the Book
American Intellectual Antisemitism: The Anti-Jewish Movement Tearing Through Our Universities is a firsthand account of the rise of antisemitism, anti-Israel extremism, and ideological radicalism on American college campuses. Drawing on his experiences at Columbia University, Davidai examines how institutional failures, ideological indoctrination, and silence have contributed to growing hostility toward Jewish students and faculty.
Following the October 7, 2023, Hamas massacre, Davidai became one of the most outspoken voices confronting antisemitism in higher education. Blending personal experiences with academic analysis, he explores the challenges facing American universities and offers a hopeful roadmap for confronting hatred, misinformation, and intolerance.
