CJA: Chicago Marathon OneFamily Cheer Team

Join us on Sunday, October 11 to cheer on the OneFamily team as they take on the Chicago Marathon.

This year, 51 runners, most of them bereaved family members from Israel, will participate. Each runner carries a personal story and the memory of a loved one. For many, training and running together are part of their healing and rehabilitation, helping them regain strength, find belonging, and embrace life alongside grief and longing.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to welcome such a large group of bereaved family members from Israel to Chicago. Together, we can draw strength from their stories, stand alongside them, and remind them that they are not alone.

For 25 years, OneFamily has provided comprehensive, long-term emotional, social, and financial support to bereaved families and victims of terror and war in Israel. Founded by Marc and Chantal Belzberg, OneFamily has created a community of support and belonging for thousands of families as they navigate loss and rebuild their lives. Chantal Belzberg was also awarded the Israel Prize this year in recognition of this work.

Come out, wear red, and help us show these runners the strength of our community. Your presence and generosity will help more families receive the care, community, and support they need.

Suggested Donation: $18, but all are welcome
What to Wear: All attendees must wear red. Official team T-shirts are preferred and available for purchase in adult sizes.

• For security purposes, every attendee must be registered under their own name. Tickets with duplicate names may be denied entry.
• The Chicago Jewish Alliance reserves the right to remove or deny entry to anyone who is disruptive to the event.
• Photos and videos may be taken during the event for marketing and promotional use.
