About the Film

Join the Chicago Jewish Alliance for a screening of A Special Russian Truth, a short documentary exploring how Soviet propaganda during the Cold War helped shape some of today’s anti-Israel and anti-Zionist narratives. Through historical analysis and interviews with historians, academics, and other experts, the film examines the origins of common rhetoric and the role propaganda played in spreading antisemitic ideas.

Following the screening, join us for a live panel discussion and Q&A exploring the film’s themes, the history behind these narratives, and how they continue to influence conversations about Israel and Zionism today.
